Privacy Policy

Aatman is built on a simple principle: your inner life is private. This policy explains what information the Aatman app and this website handle, and why. The short version: the app keeps your practice data on your device, and we do not track you.

The Aatman app

  • No account. You do not sign up, log in, or give us an email address to use the app.
  • Stored only on your device. Your onboarding answers (such as age range, experience, goals and any health conditions you choose to note), your plan, streaks, practice history and journal reflections are stored locally on your phone. We cannot see them.
  • No analytics, no advertising. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • Daily scripture verse. To show a relevant verse, the app may send a short text query describing the day's theme (for example, a topic such as “steadiness in practice”) to our scripture search service. This request contains no personal information, no identifiers and none of your journal or health data. If you are offline, a built-in verse is shown instead.
  • Deleting your data. Because everything lives on your device, deleting the app (or clearing its storage) permanently removes all of your data.

This website

  • Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and, if you provide it, your name. We use them only to tell you when Aatman launches and to share important launch news. We never sell or share them for marketing.
  • Where it is stored. Waitlist entries are stored by our form provider (for example Netlify Forms), which processes them on our behalf.
  • No cookies or tracking. This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics.
  • Fonts. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google's servers, as with most websites.
  • Leaving the waitlist. Email hello@aatman.life at any time and we will delete your details.

Health information

Any health conditions you note during onboarding are used only on your device to adapt your plan and flag practices to approach with care. They are never sent to us.

Children

Aatman is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you (in practice, only a waitlist email, if you joined), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to hello@aatman.life.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app or by email to waitlist members.
